Because of his curiosity for various musical genres from the baroque times to contemporary, he is not only a sought-after artist, but a specialist as musician, author, composer, actor, teacher, patronizer, preserver and explorer. The latter is proven e.g. by his attempt to record the entire piano work of the forgotten German composer Friedrich Gernsheim (1839-1916). Two CD’s already appeared on the prestigious Toccata Classics Label, London. More to come…

He performs worldwide in important international music festivals and works together with national and international artists on various projects as a soloist as well as a chamber musician.

Jens holds scholarships from the Cultural Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Cultural Foundation of the Federal State of Hesse for a sojourn at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (France) and at the German Study Center in Venice (Italy). He was granted support by the German Music Association, the Avenira Foundation Switzerland, the Kulturfonds Frankfurt Rhein Main, the German Assiciation for the Utilization of Neighboring Rights (GVL) and the Kulturstiftung Taunusstein. He was artist-in-residence at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
